Monday’s dog walk highlighted the power of a group of trees. Vancouver was hit with a bit of a windstorm Sunday and Monday. Rattling windows made for a restless sleep and I wasn’t sure what the morning would bring.
Picked up my buddy Pippa up and we headed to the North Shore. After our major day in the snow last week, I was hoping for a more mellow hike this time around. So we kept the dog walk light on elevation and stuck mostly to the Skyline Trail.
What a difference a group of trees (aka forest) makes! It was calm and peaceful in the forest. Barely a rustle through the branches. Yay trees!
The snow wasn’t nearly as sticky as it was last week either. All in all a VERY pleasant day in the forest.
So the next time you’re dreading heading outside because of the wind. Go to the forest. Let the trees protect you.
Until Next Time!
