On Thursday March 27 we had a fairly large pack that included Bogie the Golden Retriever, Nyssa the Husky Malamute, Winston the Aussiedoodle, Drift the Border Collie and Petey the American Bulldog.
With all the rain Petey tried on his brother Drift’s raincoat. Though he was a little snug in the coat, he seemed to enjoy being a little cozy. His mom found he was a little calmer on walks in the neighbourhood. Our tough guy likes to be snug as a bug! It certainly looks sharp! We kept him on leash just in case, his nose is still healing from his muzzle.
Winston spent some time on leash with Petey as well. Though he’s getting much better at realizing he gets more freedom if he doesn’t nibble on his friends ears. Drift likes to run around with Winston, so it’s a fine line between having fun and being annoying, but Winston is getting it. (And Drift is pretty good about handling Winston’s excitement).
Bogie and Nyssa were the chill mellow pups of the group. They had an easy pace through the forest. Though Bogie did play a few games of chase. I get the sense Miss Nyssa is a little to dignified for such puppy games. Regardless, she loves hiking though the forest and has the best grin.
It was a great hike!
