The hot sunny days have had their toll on the forests of British Columbia. Just like the weather the forest is hot and dry. So far our beloved North Shore Mountains have been spared of forest fires. But smoke from fires burning across BC collected in the lower mainland. Casting a haze over everything.
The air felt fresher in the woods than the city. But with an air hazard warning in effect, we took it easy on the trails. Our pack didn’t seem to mind. Noah the Labradoodle and Bogie the Golden Retriever are pretty mellow. They sniffed around, Bogie dug in the dirt and Noah grabbed extra snuggles. Logan the Goldendoodle and Winston the Aussiedoodle have very similar energy, they played many games of chase.
Of course no hike is complete without a quick dip in the lower pools. All in all it was a great hike!
