On Monday June 8 the gorgeous sunny summer Vancouver weather continued. Our lucky pack for the day included Bogie the Golden Retriever, Emma the Border Collie, Noah the Labradoodle and Winston the Aussiedoodle. We headed to Cypress Falls Park where we knew there were some good watering holes to help beat the heat.
Emma once again continued her quest for the perfect stick to throw. She’s a lot of fun as it’s easy to know how to make her day. Throw a couple sticks and she goes wild with joy and excitement. It’s a short lesson in appreciating the simple things in life.
Winston is continually getting better with focusing on the walk instead of being obsessed with his packmates. He still needs a bit of leash time on occasion, to remind him to give his mates some space. But overall he’s a treat to hike with.
Bogie maintained his mellow zen. Sniffing through the forest, he didn’t find something really stinky to roll in today. But we’re okay with that. He’s a good bud for Winston as he’ll run through the forest with Winston, but will also put up with the occasional ear nibble as Winston learns his manners.
Noah is another easy mellow pup. He usually sticks pretty close to me, but can’t resist checking out the forest with his buds either. All in all it was a great hike!
