Wednesday’s dog walk consisted of four shaggy dogs and a smooth one. Nila the Desi Dog was our smooth coated dog while Goldendoodles Beckem and Logan, Labradoodle Tobey and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Pippa rounded out the pack.
With each walk, each dog’s quirks become a little clearer. Tobey loves to keep the pack moving. He doesn’t like it when we stop for too long. Pippa likes walking with the other dogs, but doesn’t need to play chase. She prefers sniffing every tree and bush. Beckem pretends he’s too dignified for a game of chase, but secretly he loves it and can’t help but let loose once in a while. Nila loves playing chase, she’s the fastest dog of the group and she knows it. Logan doesn’t realize Nila gets sad when he plays in the snow instead of with her, he just loves everybody as long as they’ll play with him!
Last walk I lost my hiking pole in the woods. I’m proud to say that dogwalkers and hikers are an honest group! I found my pole leaning against a trail marker, gleaming in the fog. Thank you to whomever found it and left it in a spot for me to find.
Happy dogs, honest hikers and finding a lost item. All in all a great day!
