On Thursday June 4 we had a full pack of dogs as we headed to Ballentree Park to enjoy the day. Our pack included Nyssa the Husky / Malamute, Bogie the Golden Retriever, Karma the Desi Dog, Brando the German Shepherd, Winston the Aussiedoodle and Petey the American Bulldog.
Brando thinks Winston is the most fascinating dog and will spend his entire walk chasing after Winston if given the chance. Winston still isn’t sure about Brando which is kind of funny as Winston LOVES chasing after other dogs. Winston took a real shine to Petey this round, which is good, except Winston likes to show his affection with the odd nibble. Unfortunately this isn’t too fair to Petey, who can’t nibble back because he’s muzzled. So both Winston and Brando spent some of their walk on leash as we teach them it’s ok to play, just as long as the dog they’re playing with also wants to play. Silly pups.
Nyssa, Karma and Bogie were the mellow dogs of the group. Wandering around the forest, sniffing around and enjoying the walk. Bogie managed to find something extra smelly to roll in. He thought it was the best thing ever, though us humans aren’t so sure of the appeal.
All in all it was a great hike with the pups!
