On Thursday July 23, we had a big pack of dogs. Both in terms of size and number. Our pack for the day included Karma the Desi Dog, Winston the Aussiedoodle, Nyssa the Husky / Malamute, Petey the American Bulldog, Koda the Bernese Mountain Dog and Brando the German Shepherd. With these big boys and girls keeping me company, no one was messing with me this day!
The dogs were all excited to be out on the trails. I’m still working on Winston and Brando being nice and calm before I let them off leash. They were calmer than last week and I let Brando off leash near the end of the walk. During the water breaks I let Winston off leash, though as soon as he had his fill of water he was off to nibble on his buddies ears. So we still have a little work to do before he’s allowed offleah with this group.
Karma and Nyssa were off exploring in the woods. They’re quite the cute pair. Koda was happy to wander in the woods as well, making sure to check back in with me. Petey was up front exploring, though he did try to get Brando and Winston to play with him (while they were still on leash with me). Silly boy.
All in all it was a great hike with giant dogs!
